INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

As per the guidelines of The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru, our college has established an International Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in 2005. The IQAC has become a vital part of the institution’s quality assurance system and is working towards ensuring quality enhancement and sustenance. The IQAC of our college has been working to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the college. It has been promoting holistic academic excellence in the institution. The establishment of the IQAC is the first step towards institutionalization and internalization of quality enhancement initiatives. The IQAC is not only a record-keeping unit but it is a facilitative and participative unit of the institution.

IQAC –Vision

To promote quality culture as the prime concern of HEIs by institutionalizing and internalizing all the quality-enhancing and sustaining initiatives taken with internal and external support

Objectives:

• To develop a mechanism to promote conscious, consistent and catalytic action plans to improve the academic and administrative performance.
• To promote quality enhancement and sustenance through the internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of the best Practices.

Strategies:

• Ensuring efficient and progressive academic, administrative and financial performance of the College.
• Adoption of academic and research programmes
• Providing equitable and affordable access of academic programme to various sections of the society.
• Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
• Credible assessment and evaluation processes.
• Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions.

• Collection and analysis of feedback
• Dissemination of information
• Organization of intra- and inter-institutional workshops and seminars
• A nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities.
• Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS
• Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audits
• Preparation and submission of AQARA as per the guidelines and parameters of NAAC
