Microbiology

The Department of Microbiology was established in 2019 with an objective of providing quality education in the conventional areas of Science and growing into a center for teaching with an aim to acquire prominent position.. The Department offers UG level course in Life Science. The students are monitored and evaluated by regular class tests, seminars, assignments, mid and end-semester examinations. The Department has two regular faculties. The department has laboratory possessing necessary chemicals, reagents, glassware, lab wares and basic instruments for performing experiments in fermentation, Immunology and Medical microbiology in general and analysis (qualitative and quantitative).

Smt. Dakshata M. Kute is working as Head of department. The faculty members are specialized in frontier areas of life Science. We are proud that our collective enthusiasm is continuously generating a good number of bright students.

The knowledge in theory and practical aspects of Microbiology is imperative for the development of the country.

Mission:

To make the students aware with applications of Microbiology subject in various industries.
To highlight the potential of various branches of Microbiology to become an entrepreneur.
To equip the students with skills related to laboratory as well as field based studies.

Objectives:

To enrich students’ knowledge and train them in the pure microbial sciences.
To inculcate sense of scientific responsibilities and social and environment awareness.
To introduce the concepts of application and research in microbiology.
To help students build-up a progressive and successful career in microbiology.
