Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj had established Sinnar College in 1969 with the motto of 'Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay- Mass Education for the Welfare of masses'. It had certainly helped in the emerging scenario of Sinnar. It had definitely contributed to the development of Sinnar as an industrial zone as well as socio-cultural and political upgradation. While celebrating the year of the golden jubilee, it could be seen that the college had been shaping the careers of various eminent doctors, industrialists, lawyers, scholars, architects, technicians, and bureaucrats. With the inspiration and efforts of Late Shankarseth Waje, Late Shankarrao Nawale, Late Kakasaheb Wagh, Late Babuseth Sarada, and Late Nanasaheb Gadakh, the dream of the establishment of a college became a reality. The workers in Widi Udhyog came together and contributed a rupee from their meager wages. Due to the conviction of Mamasaheb Dandekar, these workers all together collected the fund of Rs. 35,000 for the establishment of the college.
